A smash ratings for TV5 the premiere telecast on Saturday of Willie Revillame’s new noontime despite of two incidents of power failure.
Willie’s return to the noontime slot was watched by a bigger television audience than ABS-CBN’s “It’s Showtime” according to Nielsen Media Research.
“Wowowillie” garnered a national urban television audience measurement of 27.9% and a 5.3% average minute rating, against 21.4% and 4.4% for “It’s Showtime”.
“Eat Bulaga” retained the top spot with a 38.8% audience share and an 8.3% average minute rating.
In total Luzon, “Wowowillie”‘ss 26.9% audience share scored a nine-point lead over “It’s Showtime”’s 17.7%. Moreover, in total Visayas, TV5’s first-ever daily noontime variety show toppled “Eat Bulaga”’s 20.8% audience share with a strong 29.1%.
Lastly, “Wowowillie” captured viewers’ hearts in total Mindanao where its 33.9% audience share reigned supreme over both “It’s Showtime”’s 28.5% and “Eat Bulaga”’s 16.2%.
Willie said earlier that he has not compete with “Eat Bulaga and Showtime”,”Wowowillie his third program in TV5 after the primetime shows “ Willing Willie” and Wil Time Bigtime”.
“Wowowillie” was also the number two trending topic on Saturday on Twitter.
