"The Voice of the Philippines" intensified on Sunday as it sophisticated to the assault rounds, with one member from each team having to depart the display.
The coaches said they had adversity choosing who will advance since all the performances exceeded their expectations.
"The battle rounds, I think... It's one of the more tough phases because the command still remains with the advisers. And having to state goodbye to some astonishing people, 'yun ang pinakamahirap eh," Lea Salonga said.
"It's hard to decide, man. Kasi, you understand, during the rehearsals... Nahihinog when it's time [to present on stage]. So sometimes when you think a certain way tapos nag-iiba sa battle rounds, it just gets confusing," said apl.de.ap.
"Ang sarap eh. Ang sarap ng pakiramdam na tense at nahihirapan kaming lahat [mamili]. It means the grade of gifts is outstanding, you understand what I mean? That's all you can ask for talaga eh," said Bamboo Mañalac.
Sarah Geronimo, for her part, said: "Nahihirapan kaming mamili sa bawat pares, or trio man 'yan. Pero 'yun ang mechanics ng show."
In the end, apl.de.ap chose Tristhan Perfecto, Mañalac chose Lee Grane Maranan, Geronimo chose Morissette Amon and Salonga chose Mitoy Yonting.
